“Fear” – Geoff Thompson

As long as you continue to learn and grow, fear will never go away.

…each new and subsequent fear will be more easily defeated, the techniques and confidence you have learned en route will serve you in good stead when confronting fresh fears.

The only way to overcome the fear of doing something is to go out and do it.

There are those who stay up all night dreaming about it and there are those who stay up all night doing it.

Dreams evaporate with soberness. I know a many people in my own life who have bags of potential but, for whatever reasons, they fail to utilise any of it and settle instead for the safe bet life of mediocrity.

Everyone feels fear, especially in unfamiliar territory.

Living with fear is probably more painful than confronting fear.

Look at the worst-case scenario and tell yourself if it happens I’ll handle it.

If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always get what you’ve always got.

It is our fears that stop us from achieving our goals.

No matter what your situation, there will always be an “if only”, especially if you are looking for one.

…everyone has an inner opponent.

You can block out the negative conversations with mantras.
